The Way I Work
Initial Contact
- Text or call me on my mobile number – you can find this on the Contact Me page. Please leave a message and I will aim to call you back within 48 hours, though usually sooner than that
- Send me an email (initial enquiry form on the website) and I will aim to reply within 48 hours, though usually sooner than that
- If you decide you would like to take the next step, I offer a free 10 minute telephone consultation. This provides the opportunity for both of us to decide if we would like to work together. There is no obligation to start sessions with me!
- You can choose to have one session a week, or, if it suits you to have sessions every two weeks, I can tailor this to you. Sometimes, monthly or ad-hoc counselling can be just what you’re looking for, & if this is something you’d like, the sessions will be more solution-focused & goal-orientated.
Method
- Adults (18+) face-to-face and online
- I utilise a Person-Centred, integrative approach, meaning the client (you) is at the centre of each session. This a gentle method of counselling, and I believe that each person has the solutions to their challenges within themselves, and I support you in this process of discovery.
- I offer a calm, comfortable space, where you can talk to me about whatever your concerns are. Throughout our lives, there are times when we need a little support, and reaching out for a counsellor can help with challenges you might be facing, such as anxiety, low mood, overwhelm, stress, relationship difficulties, life transitions such as children leaving home, divorce, identity, body image concerns, lack of self-confidence, low self-esteem, loss, bereavement, and grief, and many others. Together, we can work out how best to move forward through your issues, so you can live the best life possible
- I integrate techniques from other schools of thought including mindfulness, breath awareness, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
